On 9th June 2008, the Oxfordshire branch opened a new re-homing unit at Willow Farm, Chilton, near Didcot, Oxfordshire.

Willow Farm is managed by Branch Trustee, Ingrid Smith who, with animal care assistants Elaine, Jo, Maria and Lucia, plus a team of volunteer helpers, provide 24 hour care for all our animals that have been rescued or collected by the RSPCA Inspectorate.  If you would like to volunteer and help in our work at Willow Farm please phone 01235 821536 for more information.

The unit can accommodate up to 20 cats in state-of-the art cat pens, and up to 14 rabbits and 8 guinea pigs in hutches.  We can also accommodate horses and ponies, and indeed smaller animals - such as mice, rats, gerbils and hamsters etc. We of course also have intern and quarantine units for in-coming animals, prior to veterinary examination and assessment.

Our rabbit hutches were enhanced in July 2009 courtesy of a Cisco Giving Back Project.

  • Unfortunately Willow Farm is unable to accept rescued or unwanted animals direct from the public.
  • Due to the proximity of the unit to Chilton village, we are unable to receive visitors on a casual basis.
  • If you would like to give a loving home to one of our rescued animals, please see our Animal Adoption pages and contact us on 01235 821536 between the hours of 11.00am and 4.00pm to arrange a visit.
