We have approximately 325 members of the Inspectorate covering the whole of England and Wales and many have heavy workloads. This means they have to prioritise their work and may not always be able to respond immediately to less urgent complaints.

We are constantly looking at ways of responding more quickly to more complaints and the welfare of the animals concerned is always uppermost in our minds.
