Microchipping Works! PDF Print E-mail

Before Easter Inspector Davidson rescued a cat from High Wycombe, and kept it until we found the owner - as the cat was thankfully microchipped.

However after checking with Petlog, we had no answer from two phones at the listed owner's address in Twickenham.  The cat had been chipped in Wycombe, but the vets couldn't provide any more clues as to the owners whereabouts.

Inspector Davidson asked a fellow Inspector in London to visit the Twickenham address; from which he found a forwarding address in Milton Keynes.  At last the owner was found, and who had lost the cat eight years earlier - she will be updating her Petlog details in due course!

This good news story once again demonstrates the immense benefits of microchipping your pet.  However, the story also highlights the need to update the Petlog database whenever you move house - a small item but so easily overlooked in amongst all the other things to consider when moving home.
